BI Application Delivery Manager

One of our client from the banking sector is currently looking for a BI application delivery manager to join their team.

Description

As a business intelligence application delivery manager, you contribute to the management of material, time, technological and human resources within the framework of transversal projects in order to achieve the targeted objectives within the conditions of time and budget. defined. You analyze the feasibility and opportunity of the project, define action plans and milestones and coordinate project teams.

Your role is to carry out the functional supervision and coordination of the contributors involved in the delivery of the application and technological axis of one or more large and innovative projects, on time and on budget. You ensure the availability of the technological platforms necessary for the delivery of the project to the operation of the delivered solution. You plan, prioritize and coordinate the work in order to keep the commitments made in line with the objectives to be achieved. You ensure the quality of the deliverables, the performance and the mobilization of the team of contributors. The nature of the files and projects requires extensive and in-depth knowledge in your area of ​​specialty.

The projects under your responsibility are strategic in nature and involve high operational and conceptual complexity requiring a comprehensive and detailed analysis and understanding of the business area and the organization. There are many links and you are called upon to interact with a large number of stakeholders working in various fields of expertise. Mastering interpersonal relationships then becomes an essential skill.

You act as a specialist and exercise a leadership role with decision-making bodies and work teams.

Main responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the members of the squad (s), understand the business needs in the banking / insurance sector and the issues of data securit;
  • Carry out the planning of the deliverables of the application and technological axis as well as the cost estimate of the project taking into account the issues, complexity, stakeholders and links with other projects;
  • Coordinate the estimation of efforts and costs by taking into consideration the issues, priorities, complexity, external stakeholders and links with other projects;
  • Perform functional supervision and coordination of contributors involved in the delivery of the application and technological axis;
  • Ensure team performance, quality control of work, identification of standards, methods and procedures to be applied within the framework of the project;
  • Coordinate all the deliverables of the application and technological axis in order to meet business objectives and priorities while respecting agreed agreements, costs and deadlines;
  • Ensure the availability of the application layer of infrastructure platforms;
  • Develop the analysis of risks, impacts and related strategies in order to manage the level of risk of the application and technological axis;
  • Ensure accountability and budget monitoring;
  • Manage, in collaboration with the project manager, the requested changes, experimentation with solutions and strategies relating to the application axis.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline;
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in application development project management;
  • Good knowledge of project management methodology (stakeholder management, risk management, etc.);
  • Good knowledge of the software development cycle;
  • Knowledge of Agile principles and ceremonies (Scrum and Kanban);
  • Knowledge of the financial sector (an asset) Knowledge of business intelligence (an asset);
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence (an asset);
  • Intermediate knowledge of English;
