Security Analyst

Job description

One of our clients from the insurance sector is currently looking for a security analyst to join their team.

Description of tasks and responsibilities

  • Participate in project planning sessions;
  • Identify security requirements according to the context of the project by ensuring alignment with the normative security framework;
  • Identify and categorize information assets in line with organizational risk appetite;
  • Identify and assess risk scenarios in order to mitigate residual risks;
  • Model access by defining roles, user groups and their relationships;
  • Present the residual risks to the owner and collaborate in defining the action plan;
  • Provide advice on information security best practices while supporting IT teams;
  • Ensure that organizational requirements for contractual management with third parties are met;
  • Formulate professional opinions and pragmatic recommendations, all in accordance with established standards, rules and guidelines;
  • Understand the IT project development cycle: Have knowledge of needs analysis, planning, design, development and production.

Required profile

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, standards (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.) and good practices in information security;
  • Experience with information security technologies;
  • Familiarity with security concepts such as encryption, logging, monitoring, access management, cloud computing, etc. ;
  • Knowledge of the DevSecOps methodology;
  • Professional information security certifications (CISSP, CRISC, CISA); (asset)
  • Hold a DEC with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or a bachelor's degree in computer science, administration or any other relevant training at the same level, and 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Know the Lean / Agile principles and have the ability to apply them in a teamwork context;
  • Possess good communication and popularization skills and a developed pedagogical sense;
  • Ability to maintain healthy working relationships with stakeholders from various sectors and varying hierarchical levels;
  • Appreciates and promotes customer / user contact;
  • Demonstrate curiosity, autonomy, rigor and a good spirit of synthesis.
  • Functional knowledge of French, both oral and written;
  • Working knowledge of English, both oral and written;
  • Knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry; (asset)
